Join the team

Join the Pisgah Rage mountain biking team. Offered to Buncombe County students in grades 5 - 12.

If you’re interested in joining the team for the 26/27season, please complete the interest form on this page. We will reach out with season information in September and your student athlete will have the opportunity to join the team, or they can also come ride with us once before committing to get the feel of things.

Commitment deadlines are September 27 for returning athletes, October 15 for new folks

Students must already be comfortable riding a bike in order to join.

2026-2027 fees

Do not let financial limitations prevent your child from participating.  League financial assistance information is available here, and the earlier you apply, the better!  Applications take 1 week to process, so please don’t wait until the day before an event to apply. To inquire about scholarships for team fees, contact us at pisgahrage@gmail.com.

    • The NCICL covers insurance, training for coaches, curriculum and ensures NCICL is around and thriving for years to come.

    • The fee includes all league events and races for the 26/27 season.

    • Paid when you register your child/children in Pitzone

    • $50 discount offered for additional siblings, but you do have to apply via the NCICL scholarship page - more info here

    • Safety training support - Coach First Aid/CPR/skills training

    • Tools, first aid kits, Garmin device – communication safety

    • NICA Coach training – coach development 

    • Team registration and additional team administration fees

    • Billed through Team Snap in December/January

    • $20 discount for each additional sibling - we apply this automatically

    • $10 of team fee is donated to Pisgah SORBA to support trial maintenance on our trail systems

    • If racing for the season, a jersey is mandatory.

    • We often have families passing down outgrown jerseys each season, providing opportunities for a hand me down or purchasing used.
